WEST WARWICK, RI – A man was hurt late last month after a vehicle struck him along a major roadway in northeast Kent County, reports 10 WJAR.
Shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 26th, emergency crews responded to an auto-pedestrian crash on Providence Street just west of Tanglewood Drive.
The pedestrian sustained a leg injury and required hospitalization. Authorities identified the victim as Chuck Moore.
The 18-year-old driver involved in the accident did not stop to render aid or to speak with police. Authorities located and arrested Mason Young on Thursday, charging him for a hit-and-run.
A full investigation is underway.
