NEW BEDFORD, MA – Seven passengers in an adult day care van were injured in a Tuesday morning wreck involving a school bus in New Bedford, reports WJAR.
Police responded to the scene just after 7:40 a.m. following reports of a two-vehicle collision at Ambergris Lane and Durfee Street.
Officials say the van was traveling along Durfee Street just before the crash occurred. The van’s driver attempted to make a left turn onto Oakland Street and collided with an oncoming school bus.
Police say that none of the children on the bus were hurt. However, seven van passengers suffered minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Authorities continue to investigate how the crash happened.
