WARWICK, RI – Two vehicles collided head on this past weekend at a major intersection on the west side of Warwick, reports 10 WJAR.
The accident happened Saturday night on West Shore Road near Post Road in the Apponaug area between Gorton Pond and Apponaug Cove.
Police say that a drunk driver entered the wrong side of West Shore Road and collided with a second vehicle.
While one person required medical attention at the scene of the crash, it’s unclear if they were hospitalized.
Authorities arrested the drunk driver, later identified as Jorge Viveiros, for driving under the influence.
A full investigation is underway.
