Motorcyclist dies after wreck on Farnum Pike in Smithfield

PROVIDENCE COUNTY, RI – A 37-year-old Woonsocket resident lost their life Tuesday morning due to a motorcycle collision on Farnum Pike in Smithfield, reports ABC6.

Smithfield Police said the incident took place at 416 Farnum Pike, or State Route 5/104. Officers and fire crews were dispatched to the area at around 7:00 a.m.

Investigators have not yet publicly confirmed the cause of the collision, but the motorcycle operator was pronouned deceased on the scene.

An investigation remains in progress.
