PROVIDENCE, RI – A man sustained serious injuries in a crash involving a RIPTA bus on Charles Street Wednesday, according to WJAR News 10.
Providence police are unsure of how exactly the crash unfolded but said that somehow, the 66-year-old man managed to get trapped underneath the bus’ tire.
Fire crews did not specify whether they had to extricate the man from under the bus or if he was able to escape himself. Regardless, EMS crews rushed him to Rhode Island Hospital for injuries deemed serious but non-life-threatening.
No citations or charges have been reported at this time.
