Driver strikes, injures pedestrian on Killingly St

JOHNSTON, RI – A driver hit and injured a pedestrian at 654 Killingly St Thursday, according to WJAR.

The driver collided with Thomas Riley, 79, outside a crosswalk around 5:25 p.m.

Rescue crews transported Riley to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene of the accident and cooperated with the police.

Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the incident.
