Dirt bike rider hospitalized after hit-and-run crash in Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI – EMS crews transported a dirt bike rider to a nearby hospital after a hit-and-run crash over the weekend, WJAR News 10 said.

The driver had struck the dirt bike rider outside of St. Patrick’s Cemetery, off Douglas Avenue & Candace Street. The motorist did not render aid to the victim and sped away from the accident scene.

First responders said the dirt bike operator is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Providence police are actively working to determine what the hit-and-run suspect looked like, what kind of vehicle they drove, and the events that led to the collision.
