PROVIDENCE, RI – Rush-hour commuters in west Providence faced major traffic delays resulting form a collision on US-6.
According to Rhode Island DoT, the accident happened at about 5 p.m. along the ramp from US-6 eastbound to Route 10 South.

The circumstances surrounding the crash, and the number of vehicles involved, are unclear at this time. However, the ramp was shut down for some time afterward while emergency crews worked to clear the ramp.
