BARRINGTON, RI – According to WJAR, two people died following a single-vehicle collision on the Wampanoag Trail near the Barrington and East Providence town line on Saturday.
The driver crashed around 8:13 a.m.
Emergency responders discovered the heavily damaged vehicle in the woods.
Rescue crews transported the car’s two occupants, a male driver and a female passenger, to an area hospital, where they died.
Authorities believe speed was a factor in the incident.
