PALMER, MA – Injuries have been reported in connection to a multi-vehicle crash that happened Monday morning in northeast Hampden County.
According to WWLP 22, the accident occurred sometime before 8:30 a.m. on Thorndike Street, which runs north to south between Sykes and Fuller Streets in the city of Palmer.
Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the collision, which they say involved three vehicles. One person became entrapped and required extrication.
Medics transported two people to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
Officials closed Thorndike while emergency teams attended to the victims and worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
