PORTSMOUTH, RI – According to WJAR, multiple people were hurt in a four-vehicle crash near 1980 E Main Rd on Saturday.
The wreck happened at 2:09 p.m.
One of the cars involved in the collision became trapped underneath a logging truck. Emergency crews extricated the car driver from their vehicle and transported them to an area hospital with serious injuries.
Crews transported one other person to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The incident is under investigation by the Portsmouth Police Department and the Rhode Island State Police.
