TAUNTON, MA – According to WJAR, a driver collided with two motorcyclists, killing one and critically injuring the other, on MA 24 Sunday.
Fred Moreira, 35, was driving when he hit Tyler Moniz, 30, and a 39-year-old motorcyclist around 2:30 a.m.
The collision ejected both motorcyclists from their vehicles.
Rescue crews pronounced Moniz dead at the scene and transported the other motorcyclist to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities charged Moreira with operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and vehicular homicide.
