NEW BEDFORD, MA – A 67-year-old pedestrian sustained fatal injuries when a vehicle hit him one day after the New Year’s holiday in Bristol County.
According to 10 WJAR, the accident happened some time in the evening along US-6 near Pleasant Street in New Bedford, which is about 32 miles southeast of Providence.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a white SUV was involved. The driver stopped to render aid and to speak with police.
Authorities identified the victim as Robert Randall.
There’s no word so far regarding charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
