LAKEVILLE, MA – A two-vehicle collision in western Plymouth County proved fatal for a 66-year-old man on Saturday night, reports WPRI 12.
Shortly after 7 p.m., emergency crews responded to the 160 block of County Street, which is west of RI-140 in the city of Lakeville. This is approximately 10 miles southeast of Taunton.
Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the accident, which caused one of the cars to ignite.
The driver of the car that caught fire died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities haven’t yet released his name to the public.
Medics transported two people from the other vehicle to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
