JOHNSTON, RI – One person sustained injuries Wednesday in a two-car crash along a major roadway in southeast Providence County, reports 10 WJAR.
Around 6 p.m. emergency crews responded to a collision along Brown Avenue in the city of Johnston, around six miles west of Providence.
The initial investigation indicates that roadways were snowy when the driver of an SUV lost control of their car and crashed into both an embankment and the rear of another vehicle.
Medics worked to extricate the driver of the SUV, who required hospitalization for unspecified injuries.
It’s unclear if anyone else involved in the crash sustained injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
