GLOCESTER, RI – A Glocester police officer was transported to Rhode Island Hospital after a collision that happened along Lake Washington Wednesday.
The Glocester Police Department told WPRI that the crash took place around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Route 44 and Lake Washington Drive.
The officer is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.
Three other individuals were involved in the crash. These occupants appeared to have sustained minor injuries, received treatment at the scene, and did not have to go to a hospital.
The impact left a civilian vehicle, a gray Acura sedan, with significant front-end damage to the driver’s side.
An investigation is underway.
