Police close Route 146 off-ramp due to trash truck rollover collision 

PROVIDENCE, RI – State police had to shut down the Route 146 off-ramp connecting to Branch Avenue due to a trash truck rollover collision on Wednesday.

Police did not disclose the events leading to the crash, but said the impact of it caused the truck, which overturned, to spill asphalt onto the road, according to WJAR10News.

Police also closed Branch Avenue from Langdon Street to Vandewater Street.

By 10:15 a.m., officials had cleared the scene and reopened Branch Avenue.

Local police also assisted with the scene.

Officials have not reported any injuries or citations at this time and are actively working to determine the cause of the crash.
