FALL RIVER, RI – A 17-year-old bicyclist was hurt Monday afternoon in an auto-pedestrian crash in Bristol County, reports 10 WJAR.
Around 3 p.m., police say, a vehicle hit a teen on his bike at the intersection of President Avenue and Chestnut Street in northeast Fall River, which is about 17 miles southeast of Providence.
The investigation indicates that the cyclist was travelling across President Avenue in a designated crosswalk when the vehicle struck him.
Medics transported the victim, since identified as Marquies Davila, to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It’s unclear if the driver will face charges in connection to the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
