MIDDLETOWN, RI – One person was hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash on Berkely Avenue Tuesday morning.
According to local media, the crash happened when a driver in a box truck went off the roadway and struck a pole, taking out electrical wires.
The driver was taken to Newport Hospital, although their condition was not immediately known.
The crash remains under investigation.
