DEDHAM, MA – A vehicle struck and injured a pedestrian early Friday morning in Norfolk County, reports NBC 10 Boston.
Shortly after 5 a.m., emergency teams reported to an auto-pedestrian accident in the area of Harris Street and High Street, which is just north of Field in the city of Dedham. This is five miles northeast of Norwood and around half an hour southwest of Boston.
Police have identified the victim as a 66-year-old man. The circumstances of the accident have not been disclosed.
Medics transported the victim to a Boston hospital with serious injuries.
While authorities haven’t released the identity of the driver, they’ve also not described the crash as a hit and run incident.
A full investigation is underway.
