DARTMOUTH, MA – As of Sunday, Dartmouth police have released the names of the two young men who were killed in a crash on I-195 on Saturday.
According to new information from WPRI, police have identified the victims as 18-year-old Amilton De Pina Semedo from Pawtucket and 19-year-old Kevin Dos Santos Lopes from New Bedford.
Preliminary details suggest that one of the men had crashed their car off the freeway and did not wear their seatbelts, causing both of them to be thrown from the vehicle.
EMS crews rushed Santos Lopes and De Pina Semedo to St. Luke’s Hospital, where they later died.
Police have not been able to pinpoint which man was operating the vehicle, nor have they disclosed additional information leading to the deadly crash. New details will be provided after our news team learns more.
