CUMBERLAND, RI – At least one person sustained injuries Thursday in a two-vehicle collision involving a school bus in northeast Providence County, reports abc 6.
The accident happened in the morning on Nate Whipple Highway, or RI-120, east of Meehan Lane in Cumberland, which is about 16 miles north of Providence.
Authorities haven’t released any details about the cause or circumstances of the accident.
The school bus was not carrying any students when the collision occurred.
First responders performed CPR on one of the drivers at the scene. That driver required hospitalization for unspecified injuries.
It’s unclear if anyone else was hurt in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
