CRANSTON, RI – A man sustained critical, life-threatening injuries in a pin-in crash that happened Wednesday, according to WJAR News 10.
The incident happened on Hollow Tree Drive and warranted a response from fire crews, who found the injured man underneath his black Ford car. Fire crews were able to extricate the man, and medics rushed him to Rhode Island Hospital, where he is currently recovering.
The man was identified as a person in his 50s and is a Cranston local.
Authorities were told by eyewitnesses that the man was working on the brakes of his car prior to the crash. Officials are still investigating what could have caused his vehicle to come down on him.
