BOURNE, MA – A multi-vehicle accident hospitalized three people and shut down the Bourne Bridge Friday night, WJAR reports.
Massachusetts State Police say the accident occurred on Route 25 around 9:30 pm when a Ford F-250 crashed into the back of an SUV. Three people were transported to local hospitals. One person required trauma care.
Upon investigating the accident, police found the driver of the F-250 displayed signs of impairment and was in unlawful possession of a firearm. 37-year-old Garrett Mullen of Lewiston, Maine, was charged with an array of serious crimes, including felony Operating Under the Influence (OUI) and felony possession of an unlicensed, loaded firearm.
Mullen’s arraignment was scheduled for Monday in Falmouth District Court. No further information is currently available. We will update should more be provided.
