ATTLEBORO, MA – A driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a collision involving an ambulance Tuesday.
Attleboro fire crews told WJAR News 10 that the driver had collided with the ambulance at the intersection of Pleasant Street & Emory Street. The collision happened after 1 p.m. while ambulance crews were on their way to take an 8-year-old girl to Hasbro Children’s.
The 8-year-old girl was not injured in the collision and was taken to the hospital by means of another ambulance.
The driver who was hurt in the crash was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
Police shut down the area immediately after arriving and reopened the intersection around 1:40 p.m. for the scene clearance and investigation.
