WORCESTER, MA – A pedestrian in a wheelchair was hit and killed by a driver in Worcester early Friday morning.
According to WJAR, a man in a wheelchair was struck by a driver in a Ford pickup truck on Boylson Street around 3:45 a.m. Police found the 52-year-old victim unconscious in the roadway.
He was taken to an area hospital where he died of his injuries.
The driver, Charles Brant, 40, of Boylston struck the man, got out of his vehicle for a little over a minute, and then drove away.
He was later arrested at his home where police found his Ford parked with front-end damage.
Brant faces the charge of leaving the scene of a collision causing death.
