NORWOOD, MA – A major accident along the highway in central Norfolk County caused delays Wednesday morning, reports 10 WJAR.
The collision occurred sometime before 9:30 a.m. on Route 1 near East Cross Street in the city of Norwood, which is around 22 miles southwest of Boston.
Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the accident, the number of vehicles involved, or the number of people hurt in the crash.
Officials closed both the northbound and southbound sides or Route 1 in the area of East Cross Street while emergency crews attended to the victims, gathered evidence, and worked to clear the scene.
