TAUNTON, MA ā A driver was hospitalized following a rollover collision reported around 4:30 a.m. Sunday on Somerset Avenue.
According to WJAR News 10, the rollover collision occurred after the driver had crashed into an electric pole. The impact of the wreck caused the pole to split in half and the car to overturn and land on its roof.
Taunton fire crews were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered that the driver was either pinned or entrapped and conducted an extrication. After freeing the driver, EMS crews rushed the motorist to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
First responders did not specify the exact cause of the crash or say if anyone else, except for the driver, was involved in the accident.
