PAWTUCKET, RI – A man was left in critical condition following a pedestrian-vehicle crash in Pawtucket on Monday.
Preliminary details show that a man was trying to walk across Interstate 95 North near exit 42 when he was struck by a vehicle, WJARNews10 reports. Pawtucket police pulled up to the scene before 9 p.m. to find the male pedestrian on the shoulder.
EMS crews hurried to the scene and rushed the male pedestrian to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
No citations or charges have been announced.
Police are working to determine the events that led to the collision.
