BURRILLVILLE, RI – Fire trucks extricated a 30-year-old man from his overturned pickup truck prior to him being taken to Rhode Island Hospital after a crash Tuesday.
According to WJAR News 10, the 30-year-old male driver, identified as Jake Suprenant, a local, was said to have been speeding on the 400th block of Wallum Lake Road when he lost control of his 2020 Chevrolet pickup truck and crashed into a utility pole. The impact led the truck to flip over, hit a storage box in front of a home, and then lean against a tree. Officials were dispatched to the scene before 3:30 p.m.
Suprenant was airlifted to the hospital. His current condition is known.
Speed is strongly being considered as a contributing factor, according to local police.
