EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – According to WJAR, one person died when a driver crashed at Veterans Memorial Pkwy and Crown Ave while fleeing from police on Sunday.
Officers saw a suspicious white Kia driven by Chaz Gagnon, 20, in the parking lot of Bullocks Point Village apartment complex. Gagnon gave the officers a false name before speeding away. Heavy fog prevented the police from pursuing.
