PROVIDENCE, RI – According to WJAR, authorities have apprehended a woman they believe struck and killed a pedestrian near N Main St and Doyle Ave on Wednesday.
Caitlin Kelly, 27, was allegedly driving when she hit Vanda Makovetskiy, 85, as she and her husband were on their daily walk around 6 a.m.
Rescue crews transported Makovetskiy to an area hospital, where she died.
Authorities charged Kelly with duty to stop in accidents resulting in personal injury.
