WEST WARWICK, RI – A utility worker was hospitalized with a broken arm after the bucket truck he traveled in rolled down a hill, struck a power pole, and then hit a stone wall Friday.
This collision happened around 8:15 a.m. at Factory Street and Earl Street, Turnto10 revealed. It is not immediately clear what led the truck (which did not have a driver) to leave the road.
First responders sent the worker to Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center, where he is expected to recover. Power outages were reported from a variety of establishments, including the Deering Middle School, West Warwick High School, and West Warwick Police Department.
