First responders called to crash involving submerged vehicle in Plainville

PLAINVILLE, MA – First responders were dispatched to the scene of a crash involving a submerged vehicle on Thursday.

Plainville fire crews told WJAR10News that the driver was traveling on Fuller Street when, for reasons unclear, left the road and crashed into a pond.

The vehicle became completely submerged, but the driver was able to escape their vehicle without aid from the first responders, firefighters said.

First responders evaluated the driver for injuries, but did not specify the extent of those wounds or confirm their current physical condition.

The tow truck removed the vehicle from the scene.
