SMITHFIELD, RI – A truck driver drifted into the opposite lanes on Putnam Pike, causing them to hit a car head-on, which sent three people to a hospital Monday.
Smithfield Police told Turnto10 that ambulance crews rushed the two car occupants, the driver and child, as well as the truck driver, to a nearby hospital.
Currently, the truck motorist is recovering from serious injuries, while the other driver and the juvenile are from unspecified wounds. The impact of this wreck, as indicated by the source’s photo, had also left the front of the car totaled.
