EAST GREENWICH, MO – A single-vehicle accident sent six people to three hospitals in East Greenwich on Friday morning, reports The Providence Journal.
The incident occurred when an unidentified vehicle crashed into a tree near Middle Road and South Country trail at close to 12:15 a.m.
The East Greenwich Fire Department responded to the crash and enlisted the aid of responders from three nearby towns to assist in transporting the wounded.
The ambulances took the unidentified passengers to three hospitals. The Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence took two of the injured, and three were also hospitalized in Providence at the Rhode Island Trauma Center. The sixth was transported to Warwick’s Kent Hospital.
Authorities have not commented on the severity of the injuries sustained nor the suspected cause of the crash.
