PROVIDENCE, RI ā One Providence police officer and two civilians were rushed to Rhode Island Hospital after a three-vehicle crash in Federal Hill Sunday.
The officer, identified as Christian Salinas, was on his way to respond to a scenario regarding a firearm when he collided with two other vehicles, WJAR News 10 said. The multi-vehicle wreck happened around 5 a.m. and damaged a crossing sign and two civilian vehicles.Ā
The two civilians were either pinned or entrapped and had to be extricated prior to being taken to a hospital.Ā
The officer’s and two occupants’ current physical conditions were not disclosed.Ā
Police launched an investigation and have been able to confirm that there were no stop signs or traffic lights located at this specific intersection.Ā
