PROVIDENCE, RI – At least two lanes on I-195 were blocked following a rush-hour crash in downtown Providence on Monday evening.
According to Rhode Island DoT, the crash happened shortly before 5 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the highway near Point Street.

Details regarding the cause of the crash and the number of vehicles involved are unclear at this time. However, at least two lanes were closed while crews worked to clear the scene.
We do not know at this time if anyone was injured in the wreck.
