PROVIDENCE, RI – Commuters in Lower South Providence faced traffic delays this morning following a crash on I-95.
According to a report by Rhode Island DoT, the collision took place at about 2:21 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway near Exit 35 to US-1, or Thurbers Avenue.

Details concerning the cause of the crash, and the number of vehicles involved, are unclear at this time. However, at least one right lane was closed for some time afterward while crews worked to clear the scene.
