2 drivers hit, injure teen riding bicycle in Cranston

CRANSTON, RI – According to WPRI, two drivers struck a teen bicyclist at Bracken St and Dyer Ave on October 4.

The two drivers collided with the 14-year-old boy when he rode his bike down Bracken St and entered the intersection with Dyer Ave.

Rescue crews transported the boy to an area hospital in critical condition with a traumatic head injury.

Following the collision, both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Have you been hurt in an auto vs. bicycle collision that was not your fault? Unlike someone riding in a car or truck, a cyclist has no protection in a crash and can easily be killed or suffer a catastrophic injury when struck by a much heavier motor vehicle.
