Moped man fatally struck by hit-and-run driver in FairhavenĀ 

FAIRHAVEN, MA ā€“ A 29-year-old man was transported to St. Lukeā€™s Hospital, where he passed away after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver while on a moped scooter Saturday.Ā 

This collision happened around 7:15 p.m. on Main Street, according to Turnto10.Ā 

Police had identified the man as Alexis Alvarez, stating he was riding his scooter near the Riverside Cemetery when he was struck by the driver (who fled the scene afterward), operating a Chevy Silverado pickup truck.Ā 

Officers also have reason to believe another suspect struck Alvarez but did not extend commentary regarding this second person and their automobile, although they did say no arrests were pursued at this time.Ā
