Male cyclist, 35, hospitalized after crash with pickup in Fairhaven

FAIRHAVEN, MA – A 35-year-old man riding a bicycle had to be taken to the hospital after he was struck by an off-duty police officer driving a pickup truck Monday. 

This collision occurred around 3:15 p.m. at the U.S. 6 and Narragansett Boulevard intersection, according to WPRI

Massachusetts State Police confirmed an ambulance took the cyclist to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of unspecified wounds. 

Troopers also said that the driver was unharmed but did not specify if he would be cited or face charges.
