Motorcyclist hospitalized after hitting yielding car in East Greenwich 

EAST GREENWICH, RI – A motorcyclist attempted to pass a yielding vehicle and struck another vehicle pursuing a westbound turn, sending them to the hospital Friday. 

This crash happened before 9:15 p.m. at the Division Street and Sanctuary Drive intersection, Turnto10 revealed. Local police said the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in the process. 

Police said the motorcyclist was going east on Division, and the vehicle in front of them slowed down to allow another vehicle to pass. As the motorcyclist tried to pass the yielding car, that’s when they collided with it. 

Officers did not say whether anyone else was injured or said if the motorcyclist will be cited or charged for their involvement.
