This collision occurred around 6 p.m. Monday on southbound Wellington Avenue, according to WPRI. Police said prior to the crash, the motorcyclist, later identified as Alexander Peña, had lost control of his motorcycle after failing to negotiate a curve.

Peña, who did not wear a helmet, succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene while a friend riding with him on another motorcycle was left unscathed.
