Cranston PD called to school bus-auto rear-end crash at Speedway

CRANSTON, RI – Cranston Police were summoned to a collision that resulted when a school bus driver rear-ended a car in front of them at the Speedway gas station Tuesday. 

Turnto10 said this crash happened before 7:15 a.m. in the 300th block of Phoenix Avenue. The driver of the vehicle stopped their car to drop off a passenger. The driver of the school bus did not reduce their speed, which resulted in a crash, minor damage to the bus, and significant damage to the car. 

While it is not immediately clear if anyone was injured, police said one of the 29 students on board had said they felt pain, and the driver of the vehicle also reported feeling pain.
