Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital following crash in CarverĀ

CARVER, MA ā€“ A medical helicopter transported a 69-year-old man to a Boston hospital after he was struck by a car while riding a motorcycle Tuesday.Ā

This collision occurred after 10:30 p.m. at the South Meadow Road and Ward Street intersection, according to WBSM.Ā

Prior to the male motorcyclist being airlifted, he was transported by ground to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth.Ā

Police said the motorcyclist, who was only identified as a Carver resident, was last listed in serious condition.Ā

Officers did not specify if the driver, a 75-year-old woman from Carver, who struck the biker, would face charges. However, they did say that the motorist and her car, a 2022 Toyota Camry, had stayed at the collision site and cooperated with investigators.Ā

The Carver Police Department, the Carver Fire Department, and Massachusetts State Police all responded to the scene. Both state and local police are investigating the specifics behind this wreck and have not released other information at this time.Ā
