Updated: Driver charged after Burrillville rollover wreck

BURRILLVILLE, RI – Burrillville police confirmed that they have officially charged a 30-year-old man with Reckless Driving after a rollover collision last Thursday, April 10

New details from WJAR News 10 revealed that local police and State Police had obtained a search warrant that showed how fast the driver was going. Results confirmed that the driver clocked 104 mph.

Traveling at a high rate caused the driver, 30-year-old Jake Surprenant, to lose control of his 2020 Chevrolet pickup truck. Supernatant went on to crash into a utility pole and storage unit prior to his vehicle overturning. He was later airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital.

Authorities said Surprenant faces several other charges. His arraignment is scheduled for May 6 at the District Court on May 6.
