PROVIDENCE, RI – A man is facing a number of charges in connection to a suspected DUI crash that claimed the life of his passenger early Monday.
According WPRI, 29-year-old Jonathan Santiago was heading south on RI-7 when his vehicle slammed into another that was heading west on Broad Street.
A 37-year-old passenger in Santiago’s vehicle suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
Santiago was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He is currently facing charges of driving under the influence and driving to endanger resulting in death, along with several traffic violations.
The other driver involved in the crash was unhurt.
