PROVIDENCE, RI – A freeway exit ramp near downtown Providence was blocked following a collision early Friday.
According to a report by Rhode Island DoT, the accident happened at about 1:17 a.m. along the eastbound exit ramp from US-6 to Dean Street.

It is unclear at this time if anyone was injured in the wreck. The ramp was shut down for some time afterward while crews worked to clear the wreckage from the roadway.
