PROVIDENCE, RI – Drivers in west Providence faced delays following a crash on I-295 this afternoon.
According to a report by Rhode Island DoT, the crash happened at about 3:22 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate near Exit 7 to the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Industrial Park.

Details about the crash are limited at this time. However, at least one left lane was closed while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
